You are an ex...</title><content type='html'>Hi Jackal... nice to have you here.  You are an exceptional artist!  :-)  The world is filled with many beliefs regarding soul mates.  In Eastern Tradition, there is never a one and only soul mate but numerous souls mates who interact over many life times.  In the new age movement in the US, the idea of a one and only soul mate has become popular but some suggest this is more of a fantasy or idealized wish.  The reality is we can't really know because we don't have a way to measure this and there are literally millions of guesses.  Who knows who is "right"?   I would ask you, why is it important to you, to have a one and only soul mate?  Would finding "a" soul mate make a difference in your life?  If so how?   It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into this idea... wondering, questioning, and pondering is always the first step to finding answers! A soul mate to me is when there is a connection - a deep connection but not physical.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The intimacy is on an emotional and intellectual level.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Yet, as I found to my dismay, my friend does not consider me a soul mate.
